Abstract

The article presents the discussion on various gene therapy approaches approved for treating blood cancers and a few rare disorders. Topics include creating therapies for several blood disorders as well as degenerative eye and muscle diseases; and gene therapies employing adeno-associated virus (AAV) or retrovirus vectors improving versions of the adenovirus vector from the earliest trials.
