Abstract

This systematic literature review arises from the need to maintain high productivity in manufacturing companies. Its general objective is to identify TPM strategies that increase OEE in the manufacturing sector. The methodology used is quantitative and descriptive, 24 scientific articles of utmost importance for the research were considered, where only articles in English and Spanish were considered, with initial date in 2018. During the analysis of selected articles, it is considered necessary to mention the indicators that are part of the OEE and are related to productivity in the organization. It is also revealed that a large part of the factors affecting productivity in the manufacturing sector are linked to machinery, highlighting the 6 main failures. In turn, autonomous maintenance was considered as an essential pillar of TPM, promoting the participation of all employees from activities that ensure the proper functioning of the machinery. In addition, tools are determined for the identification of problems and to sustain the implementation of the methodology, mentioning the top management as an important role to increase the OEE. Finally, results are shown where the increase of OEE through a correct implementation of TPM is proved.
