Abstract

This article analyzes a planning model that allows an organization to adapt itself in a better way to internal and environmental changes. For this, the objective of this study is to proposed the implementation of a mobile planning model applied to a Chilean public university. The methodology used was of the case study type and a multiple correspondence analysis was applied. The results allowed observing that the institutional strategic plan and 45.5% of the strategic plans of the institution were adjusted in the mobile planning process. In addition, it was discovered that a link does exists between the type of adjustment made on the development plans, with the level of compliance, and with the type of unit responsible for the plan. Finally, it is concluded that mobile planning is useful because it allows adjusting the strategic planning to better adjusting to the new scenarios that could be faced by the institution.
