Abstract

This temporary Expression of Concern relates to the above article. Concerns have been brought to the attention of the Journal regarding visual indicators of possible image duplication and falsification, as reported in PubPeer. [https://pubpeer.com/publications/961CB52702112A1E57F4E818BD1574?utm_source=Chrome&utm_medium=BrowserExtension&utm_campaign=Chrome]. These concerns have raised questions regarding the integrity of the article. Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team and the Journal Editors are investigating the concerns, including contacting the authors, in line with Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and Elsevier's policies. The Expression of Concern will remain appended to the article until the investigation has been completed and the Editors have reached a conclusion and taken any further action deemed necessary, or the editors have determined that they cannot reach a satisfactory conclusion with the information available to them.
