Trayectorias y expectativas de los egresados de la secundaria en argentina

Abstract

Youth studies show meaningful changes in transitions towards adulthood as regards its length, pluralization and non-standarization. Within this framework, high school education has turned into a key piece of the public policy addressed to youngsters. In Argentina, high school is considered the last mandatory educational cycle which along with the fact of the social and economic context change, has provided high school with new senses and assessment. The text displays a comparison of the transition of high-school education to employment with the aim to analyse how different economic contexts influence in youth transitions stemming from statistical information gathered in two economic junctures very well differentiated: 1999 and 2011. En este marco, la educación media se ha convertido en una pieza clave de la política pública destinada a la juventud. En la Argentina la secundaria constituye el último ciclo educativo obligatorio, lo cual en conjunto con el cambio de contexto económico y social, la ha dotado de nuevos sentidos y valoraciones. En el texto se realiza una comparación de la transición educación secundaria-trabajo, con el objetivo de analizar: cómo influyen distintos contextos económicos en las transiciones juveniles? a partir de información estadística primaria relevada en dos coyunturas económicas bien distintas, durante los años 1999 y 2011.
