Abstract

A review was made of the acral arteriovenous tumors diagnosed at our Service over the last 10 years (13 cases). A study was made of their clinical and histological features, using certain special stains. Acral arteriovenous tumors are relatively uncommon; there seems to be no predominance in either sex, clinical diagnosis is possible and the histology itself is diagnostic. The current etiopathogenic theories are discussed on the basis of the data in the literature and our own experience.
