Abstract
The literature on to the linguistic skills of the children who stutter does not allow to end in clear conclusions. The observation reported here concerned 15 French-speaking children who stutter, examined in a very thorough way with a series of lexical, morphosyntactic and syntactical tests. Without being openly pathological, the weak results of the children just place them over the threshold of the normality as regards the lexicon. The syntactical skills of the French-speaking children who stutter are better than their lexical skills.
