Abstract

In the version of this Article initially published, we omitted in the introductory paragraph a reference to a paper that reported the BioID profiles of 18 subcellular markers and suborganelle localization markers and proposed a localization score strategy. This paper is now cited as ref. 61 at the end of the last sentence of the first paragraph: “BioID has been successfully used to define the composition of many different protein complexes and the spatial organization of several membrane-bound and membraneless organelles (see, for example, refs. 5–8,61).” The authors believe that they should have included this reference and apologize for the omission.
