SPEN – DSO Vision

Abstract

To meet the challenges implicit in transitioning to a low-carbon smart grid it has been recognised in the UK that distribution network operators need to develop towards becoming distribution system operators (DSOs). In an effort to understand the implications of this transition SP Energy Networks instigated a collaborative industry steering group to develop a vision of SP Energy Networks as a future DSO.
