Transformational leadership and its relationship with happiness at work: Sinaloan companies in the agro-industrial sector

Abstract

Transformational leadership is a discipline that guides organizations in a human capital management process that fosters much more productive environments, generators of unique and inimitable competitive advantages. The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between transformational leadership and happiness at work, understanding happiness at work under three main dimensions: Job satisfaction, affective organizational commitment, and organizational commitment. Using a research with a quantitative approach, descriptive, correlational with a population of 700 workers and a sample of 120 collaborators and based on the studies by Fisher (2010); and, Salas-Vallina et al. (2017), descriptive statistics techniques, simple and multivariate regression analysis were applied. As a result, a direct correlation was found between transformational leadership and happiness at work and how this can be an important factor in the productivity of human capital. It is therefore concluded that the implementation of transformational leadership favors the development of new skills, encourages creativity and innovation, and positively influences happiness at work, in this way when workers are happy they present better results and improve productivity. human capital
