Abstract
In order to avoid the shutdown of production line caused by equipment failures, the optimal periodic maintenance plan is firstly obtained by solving a multi-objective optimization model of average reliability and total maintenance cost of the entire production line where the costs of downtime, breakdown repair and preventive maintenance are accurately evaluated based on equipment reliability. For the sudden and severe deterioration of key equipment, such as CNC machine tool and industrial robot, time delay theory is utilized to formulate subsystem reliability of key equipment and then the potential failure probability of equipment subsystem is predicted by using Support Vector Machine according to monitoring data on equipment operating status. And thus, the optimization model of delayed maintenance time of key equipment is established and solved by particle swarm optimization to search for the optimal maintenance time of key equipment. The case study conducted by simulation analysis shows the effectiveness of the proposed pre-maintenance strategy which can ensure the reliability and minimize maintenance cost of production line.
