Abstract

In today’s world, capital structure has become a transcendental tool for business performance. In addition to this, investment decisions stimulate business growth and diversification by facilitating the creation of new organizations and promoting development processes in organizations. The purpose of this theoretical-empirical analysis was to evaluate the impact of investment decisions of managers in small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in Aguascalientes. The different most widely accepted theories of capital structure were analyzed, thus demonstrating the influence that decisions have on performance. It is important that SME managers adequately manage the internal and external resources available to the organization in order to achieve sustainable growth.
