Abstract

The psychodelic actions of anticholinergic drugs has been reviewed. The compound of reference is stramonium. A history of use as well as the toxicology have been discussed. The best method of treatment at present seems to be intravenous diazepam followed by oral doses of the same drug. Phenothiazine compounds are contraindicated. © 1969 Canadian Anesthesiologists.
