Abstract

A promising nanocomposite composed of gold nanoparticles (Au) incorporated alizarine yellow R (ALZ) was applied for the sensitive analysis of felodipine (FELO). To construct the sensor, the carbon electrode has been modified with alizarine yellow R (ALZ) and then an electrochemical deposition protocol was followed to obtain gold nanoparticles that permit getting high stability effective analytical platform. Using the optimal experimental conditions, the suggested electrode read was measured using SWV and revealed a linear detection range from 1.0 × 10-8 to 5.0 × 10-5 M with a limit of detection 4.61 × 10-9 M. The outcomes displayed that the electrode can be applied for selective determination of FELO in the existence of an excess of many potential interfering substances. To this end, the proposed sensor was successfully used to determine FELO in spiked human plasma and pharmaceutical preparations, and the findings were satisfactory.
