Abstract

Albizia trees are portrayed as a pioneer species in deciduous or monsoon woodland and savanna scrub vegetation.Albizia procera commonly known Safed siris naturally occurs throughout South-East Asian countries to northern Australia has been introduced into number of African countries.All parts the plant have utility some other way.From being used traditionally pain reliever exhibiting various pharmacological activities, may be contemplated favourable against diseases.In this review, phytochemicals studies were studied presented.The leaves pods eatable A. portions whereas its wood is reasonable material for paper pulp.The bark spermicidal action also given rheumatism haemoerrhage.exhibits activities such CNS activity, cardiotonic anti-oxidant property etc.The habitat ranges from forest, pyrogenic grassland; dry stunted gullies seasonal swamp forest.It little tree 7-15m tall belonging fabaceae family.Phytochemical examination reported secondary metabolites saponins, terpenes, alkaloids flavonoids.It great importance.All way traditionally.
