Abstract
Currently, one of the main trends in healthcare digitalization is application of the methods and tools of artificial intelligence (AI) and new information technologies for decision-making. At the same time, great attention is paid to patient-oriented approach among other medical technologies. This manuscript is devoted to systematization of the methods and tools of AI in healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, identification of new terms in the context of new realities considering new challenges and possible responses, updating of the role and features of routine practice data (Real World Data, RWD) in digital technologies. RWD underlie many processes and tasks in healthcare and pharmaceutical industry and have a significant role in data governance. Clinical Decision Support Software (CDSS) should be considered as medical technologies. Along with Real World Evidence (RWE), CDSS can be used in healthcare decision-making. Thus, we can observe a systematic approach in technologies themselves and one of their foundations (Real World Data) associated with development of digital technologies. Current challenges and limitations are also common for such areas as AI, RWD and RWE.
