Abstract
The article is dedicated to the conceptual analysis of globalization and the global world phenomena. The author's deliberations are based on the recent research by professor V.B. Kuvaldin "The Global World: Politics, Economy, Social Relations". The global world is defined as a key trend of contemporaneity whereas the singularity of neoliberal and West-centered model of globalization is called into question. In the focus of attention are problems of globalization's genesis, (in) stablity of policentric structure of international relations, interaction between Political and Economical, growing social inequalities and disparities. The author explores viability of the nation-state institution, elements of deglobalization, adaptability of the European Union to the changing nature of international environment. Both researches adhere to the vision of Russia's strategic thinking defined by its unique European and Pacific reach available to the "power of three oceans".
