Abstract

The synthesis of the 3′-deoxyapionucleoside 3′′- triphosphates (apioNTPs) having the four natural nucleobases and their enzymatic incorporation into a DNA-DNA primerlate have been tried. Therminator DNA polymerase was shown to incorporate these apioNTPs effectively giving 43mer DNA-apioNA chimera. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2011.
