Abstract

In an organization, output is determined by the combination of "ability of the individual" and "strengths of the organization". The essential qualities for research and development management literacy are therefore the ability to "nurture people with excellent individual qualities" and "create a strong organization". In this paper, the authors discuss the fundamental problems related to "organizational literacy", which is indispensable, especially for management level executives. © 2004 IEEE.
