Abstract
In this study, the effect of addition of fins in air-based PVT system on cell temperature investigated. Experimental tests were performed with frequent and sparse fins configurations and also empty(non-finned) state. Also, thermal camera images of cells were investigated and compared to images obtained by Fluent Ansys. Cell temperatures for all status of both polycrystal and monocrystal panel decreased between 8-20 °C. Panel surface was observed to have a uniform temperature distribution. Finally, temperature distribution images obtained with ANSYS Fluent were found to be quite compatible with thermal camera images. In this study, the effect of addition of fins in air-based PVT system on cell temperature investigated.
