Abstract
Introduction: IoT technologies in aquaculture offer innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and resource management in aquaculture farms, optimising the production process. Methodology: A comprehensive review of the scientific literature was conducted to evaluate the benefits of IoT technologies in aquaculture. The research analysed various tools such as environmental sensors, tracking systems and automation devices. Results: Among the tools highlighted were sensors that monitor water quality and temperature in real time, RFID and GPS systems for inventory tracking, and automation devices that regulate processes such as feeding and energy management. These elements improve logistics, reduce costs and increase productivity. Discussion: Integrating IoT platforms with advanced data analytics enables decisions based on accurate information, optimising production and minimising risks. Conclusions: IoT technologies provide a holistic and sustainable approach to aquaculture farm management, improving conditions for fish growth and optimising the use of natural resources and energy.
