A new procedure for the determination of ionization constant an acid or of a weak base

Abstract

The present study describes a new theoretical procedure used for determining the ionization constant of weak acids and bases, mono or polyfunctional. The procedure uses the computer program Excel spreadsheets, together with supplied and simulated data on the selected parameters. The methodology has ability and ease to estimate the pKa's and pKb's values.
