Abstract

Because of its reliable operation and good mechanical properties, the canned solid-rotor induction motor (CSRIM) has a good application prospect in shielding equipment such as nuclear equipment and chemical industry. However, for CSRIM, especially with the magnetic rotor shielded sleeve, the electromagnetic field distribution of the rotor is more complicated due to the closure of a large number of magnetic leakage. In this paper, the current method of equivalent circuit and its parameter analysis for the canned solid-rotor induction motor were discussed. The development of equivalent circuit of composite-rotor induction motor and the deficiency of each equivalent circuit were studied. Finally, this paper focused on the comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the equivalent magnetic circuit method, 2D-multilayer electromagnetic field theory and the electromagnetic field finite element method on the parameter calculation and performance analysis of the CSRIM.
