Abstract

1-(2-Carboxyphenyl)-3,3-dimethyltriazene, on being heated in benzaldehyde, affords 2-dimethylaminobenzhydrol and cis- and trans-2,4-diphenyl-1,3-benzodioxins; similar products were obtained with some other carbonyl compounds.
