Abstract

This paper deals with the need for transparency and good governance in insurance companies in the wake of recent scandals in the financial services. It also shows that socially responsible investing can be a tricky activity because of how questionable products are often linked with socially acceptable ones. © 2005 The International Association for the Study of Insurance Economics.
