Abstract
The stages of weathering in 110 samples of mammal's fossils from the Late Quaternary, from Lagoa do Rumo, Baixa Grande (BA), northeastern Brazil, allowed to diagnose the time of exposure to external agents (biotic and abiotic) since death to final burial. These features indicate time average of death in the thanatocenoses of the fossiliferous assembly up to 15 years to the final burial.
