Abstract

Chinese domestic enterprises are experiencing rapid development, with financial indicators consistently reaching new heights year after year. However, they also face numerous challenges, including environmental protection. The public is increasingly demanding the disclosure of non-financial information from companies, and the concept of ESG is gradually gaining prominence among the general population. This paper explores the impact of ESG practices on corporate performance through vertical market and financial performance analysis, employing case analysis method. By conducting a horizontal photovoltaic enterprise performance analysis, the author investigates how ESG performance influences the overall functioning of photovoltaic enterprises while also examining the influence of non-economic factors on corporate performance. Ultimately, it is concluded that ESG has a positive effect on a company's comprehensive development and corporate performance. Embracing ESG principles guides an organization's investment direction towards promoting sustainable development which subsequently leads to long-term benefits for the enterprise. Highlighting this positive developmental attitude showcases an enterprise's efforts and effectiveness in achieving its own comprehensive growth; thus becoming an important indicator for attracting investments. With increasing attention towards ESG, companies adhering to it are more likely to gain trust and support from investors which ultimately facilitates corporate financing and enhances market value management.
