Abstract
There have been several analysis of problems of corruptions and non-ethical practices by police personnel, however these researches are based on the reports of various enquiry commissions regarding these cases and case studies. These researches have, although proved to be helpful in presenting an idea on police deviance but they have done contributed little in terms of preventing such problems at any level of the police department. One of the solution to the problem can be found in the finding reasons behind the ignorance of police personnel towards the corrupt attitude of their colleagues. This article tries to find such reasons by grouping the respondents in three types the reluctant, the relativist and the complaint. The parameters included were the level of experience, the conceptualization of police work and the attitude of a police personnel towards police culture. The study aims to prove helpful to Quebec's major police agencies in orienting their efforts towards the major causes of the corrupt attitude of police officers rather than wasting their energy and resources on less important factors.
