Abstract

Information and communication technologies impose no organisational structure; they are neutral from that perspective. On the other hand, computer uses are often constraints for a firm's specific operation mode. Therefore, technology is flexible according to the organisational perspective of its managers. In addition, automatic application of rules by administrative robots allows increasing the number of rules to apply without constraining the firm to structure as a bureaucracy.
