Abstract

The use of sentinel node biopsy in the staging of malignant melanoma has led to the identification of lymph nodes outside the described regional basins, so-called aberrant nodes. We present a case in which such an aberrant sentinel node was found to be positive for metastatic disease, and discuss our surgical management. © 2001 The British Association of Plastic Surgeons.
