Abstract

Construction project business has high risks. In Supervisory Consulting Services, risks can arise in the several fields; like marketing, production, and resources. The aim of this study was identifying, analyzing, responding, or controlling of dominant risks in the Supervisory Consultant Services. The data collection techniques used questionnaire and interviews with respondents. They were personals from Supervising Consultant. Data analysis used Severity Index method which was combined with the multiplication of probability and impact. Respond was carried out to the dominant risks and the categories were unacceptable and undesirable categories. For the result, there were 3 unacceptable risks and 4 undesirable risks. The risk respond was reducing the risks. Unacceptable risk category were late payment terms, poor document control, and design changes. The response was carried out by preparing documents for payment terms, conducting a review of the design before the construction process, facilitating personnel with equipment to support supervision. Undesirable risk category were inappropriate qualification documents, low progress, findings by the audit team, and lack of team work. Responses are carried out by compiling qualifications and participating in auctions according to sub-sectors, evaluating the schedule with acceleration methods, compiling technical and non-technical administrative reports for any changes, and building good communication within the team.
