Abstract

Particles of Australia antigen are antigenically complex. Analysis of their surface antigens has so far revealed one specificity, a, common to all Au-positive (Au+) sera, and three additional determinants, d, x, and y, which are not shared by all particles. Au+ sera have been divided into three subgroups, according to their possession of d, or y, or neither. © 1971 The University of Chicago.
