Abstract

Density management diagrams have been developed and presented for use in stand management by a number of researchers. Such diagrams can be somewhat crowded, limited in scope, and awkward to use. A spreadsheet application is described that enhances the use of a stand density index measure to schedule thinnings/harvests of loblolly pine in the Western Gulf region.
