Abstract

The information sciences and knowledge management have many similarities and several starting points for joint research. Practitioners of knowledge management should study the research results of the sister discipline in more detail in order to be able to consider results relevant to their organizational practice. It is to be hoped that a dialogue between the two disciplines will open up potential synergies for research and practice in the future.
