Abstract

The article announces the winner of the 2019 Clinical Research Award given by the American Academy of Periodontology to the article “Systemic Effects of Periodontitis Treatment in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes: A 12 Month, Single-Centre, Investigator-Masked, Randomized Trial” which appeared in "The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology" in the December 2018 issue.
