Abstract

Business and information systems engineering (BISE) has established itself as a distinct sub-discipline between business sciences and computer science at least in the German-speaking countries. This primarily becomes obvious by two facts. First, the BISE section is one of the largest sections of the German Academic Association for Business Research (Verband der Hochschullehrer fr Betriebswirtschaft e. V., VHB). Second, the BISE special interest group is the largest of the Gesellschaft fr Informatik.
