Digital transformation of the electric power industry

Abstract

The relevance of the study is due to the fact that digitalization as a process is one of the priorities of the country's strategic development, and is crucial for the stable development of the economy. Digitalization is a strategic priority of Russia and is of great importance for the stable development of the economy, energy security of the regions, and solving environmental problems. The purpose of the study is to identify the reasons for the need to transform the electric power industry and to propose a set of measures aimed at the introduction of digital technologies and the development of new business models, services and markets based on digital solutions that ensure the development of innovative technologies and services in the field of electric power. The article presents the factors contributing to the development of the energy industry, as well as the competitive trends in the market of goods and services. Within the framework of digital transformation, strategic tasks for the development of the electric power industry are identified and the author's model of digital transformation of the electric power industry is proposed, which contributes to improving the reliability of power systems, reducing the costs of production processes, and introducing new technologies based on digital platforms.
