Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the constraints of investigators in uncovering criminal acts using CCTV. The research method used is empirical legal research. This research is descriptively analytical. The data collection methods used are observation, interview, document study, and literature research. Based on the research conducted, the results obtained the use of CCTV for investigators to help in the investigation process to uncover criminal acts and CCTV as a reference for preventive and repressive measures against facts and data related to a crime. As for the obstacles experienced by investigators using CCTV, namely, some investigators do not understand using CCTV, the use of CCTV has not been actively used evenly in the Buleleng Police Station, unclear images and limited storage memory. Various obstacles experienced by Buleleng Police investigators make efforts including, establishing cooperation with various parties, one of which is calling information technology experts.
