Abstract

An attempt is made to treat the storage pit sludge by Bioremediation process. The sample was analyzed for the presence of Water contents, Wax contents, Asphaltene content, Residue and microbes like Aspergillus flavus (fungi), staphylococcus aureus (bacteria). Bioremediation process under aerobic condition is proposed to reduce the oil content to tolerable limit. The retention time for the degradation process is to be ascertain on trial and error basis.
