Abstract
This work explores both the grounds that support the institutional conscientious objection in abortion and the arguments developed against this institutional claim. The conclusion shows that the criticisms of institutional conscientious objection reveal the weaknesses of its foundations with respect to abortion care considering a framework of rights and interests in conflict.
