Abstract

A website is a collection of all web pages whose function is to display various information in the form of writing, images and sound from a domain which is formed in an interrelated series. An example of the use of website technology in the current era is the Website-Based Attendance Information System. Absenteeism is important in a government agency. The manual attendance system is less efficient in managing attendance data because employees have to look for data where it is still stored in books, as a result the archives stored pile up and it is difficult to search for employee data, names and attendance lists at the end of each month. To solve this problem, a website-based attendance information system was created. With this system, the attendance process becomes more efficient, monthly attendance recaps also become faster. Through a good attendance system, it helps in controlling the work completion process so that maximum results are obtained and improves the quality of personnel attendance services because all operational activities become easier and faster. The method used in developing this software is using the waterfall method which includes analysis, design, coding and system testing. This website-based attendance information system has been able to replace manual recording of attendance data with a computerized one, namely minimizing the error rate in recording and managing employee attendance data. Recap monthly attendance becomes faster and easier. There are no more piling up attendance paper files.
