Abstract

A real-time path integral approach to investigate the interplay between vibrational relaxation and tunneling in driven, dissipative multilevel quantum systems was established. As a result, a novel coupled generalized master equation (GME) was derived within the discrete variable representation (DVR) basis. The resulting GME treats tunneling and intrawell dynamics on a common basis.
