Abstract

Purpose of the Review: Add to existing literature regarding optimal perfusion strategies during normothermic regional perfusion organ (NRP) procurement based on a single-center experience. Recent Findings: The literature surrounding perfusion strategies and operational parameters during NRP is relatively limited. In this review, we hope to encourage further discussion regarding optimal perfusion strategies during organ procurement when utilizing normothermic regional perfusion. Summary: Optimal perfusion outcomes during NRP require significant coordination and technical expertise. In this article, we discuss the strategies and techniques used at our institution when utilizing NRP in organ procurement, and provide insight to some of the more technical aspects of this novel technique.
