Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between plantar flexion and dorsiflexion range of motion with dynamic balance ability in rhythmic gymnastics athlete and also to compare with the sedentary. Material and Methods: This study included 17 female rhythmic gymnasts aged 8,82±1,42 years and 19 female sedentary aged 8,73±1,36 years. All participants' 3 sets of active dorsiflexion and plantar flexion range of motion were measured in both ankles using a goniometer. Monoaxial dynamic balance scores were evaluated for right-left foot with monoaxial base for anteroposterior sway by using Prokin Tecno Body. And also slalom test with 30sc was used. Results: There was statistically significant correlation between slalom perimeter length with right dorsi flexion and left plantar flexion in rhythmic gymnasts.
