Abstract

Objective : Purpose of this study is to introduce a new protocol for primary management of blast injuries of mandible with the aim of preserving maximum tissues at the same time achieving excellent aesthetics and function in the long term. Method: All cases were managed primarily using this protocol. Secondary reconstruction was carried out at least six months later. Results: Excellent results were achieved in all cases. Conclusion: Management of blast injuries requires special consideration to achieve good aesthetics and function. The above protocol will give good results in the long term.
