Analysis of Determinants of Financial Performance for Construction Industry in India

Abstract

This paper aims at ascertaining the determinants of financial performance for construction industry. We use the financial data of one hundred thirty-two construction industry companies which are listed in the Indian stock exchanges. The result of the data shows that logarithm of PBIT by total assets, working capital to total assets, total assets turnover ratio, current assets turnover ratio and current ratio as independent variables emerge as determinants of the financial performance of construction industry of the study. Further studies can be undertaken for company wise analysis in construction industry and infrastructure companies in India. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
