Abstract

On the basis of the result of diatom analysis, 14C date and tephrochronology, water level of Lake Ogawara was 2 m higher than that of present about 4500-5000 y BP, and it had lowered to the same level as present till 3500 y BP. Since then water level has been stable. -from English summary
