Abstract
This article, delivered as remarks to the 22nd Memorial Morris Hansen lecture, modestly expands on a few themes from Kenneth Prewitt's lecture. The article provides some context on the interrelationship between the federal statistical agencies and the contract houses, and offers some preliminary thoughts about what it means to respond to Prewitt's charge that we cannot rest on our laurels. © Statistics Sweden.
