Abstract

Iron deficiency anemia refractory to therapy is a frequently encountered problem in pediatric outpatient practice. This article will focus on clinical scenarios answering the common issues such as when to term iron deficiency anemia as refractory to therapy, the possible etiologies and the diagnostic work up required in such cases.
