La dimensión política e institucional del Trabajo Social Comunitario en el ámbito local

Abstract

The communication contributes to the understanding of political action at the local level. It also examines the professional intervention of social workers. We present the responses to some 1 research in which information was collected on the problems in the organisation of social policies in municipalities in the Community of Madrid (Spain). The data were compiled by means of an open question posed to thirty social workers and the views of the political representatives as to the importance of community social work locally. The conclusions highlight the complementarity of the technical and political dimensions in implementing social policies.
